Susan Hall won the nomination to become the Conservative Party’s candidate in the London mayoral election next year.
She will face incumbent Labor mayor Sadiq Khan in May.
The former leader of the Conservatives in the Greater London Assembly edged out Moz Hossain, a 48-year-old lawyer, in the nomination.
In her acceptance speech, Susan Hall said “Londoners deserve so much better” than Labor mayor Sadiq Khan.
