A woman has died and two other people have been rushed to hospital after a suspected massive drug overdose at an apartment in one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations.
Police and ambulance crews were called to an apartment at The Esplanade in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast at around 11.30pm on Friday night in response to an emergency call reporting patients were unconscious and not breathing. .
A 40-year-old woman died at the scene.
Two other women were rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital.
One is in critical condition and the other is in serious condition.

The group is believed to have ingested a drug cocktail that included ketamine and GHB or fantasy, the Mail.
