‘A good strong cuppa and a piece of chocolate cake. Happy 79th birthday. I miss you very much, ”she added.
Megan was very close to her father and regularly shares memories of their happy times together.
In 2018, she wrote on her Instagram: ‘I have lit this four-wick candle for him every year on this day since his death.’
“On days like today, I remind myself how precious life is, that we should never take it for granted and cherish your loved ones while you still have them.”

Megan’s father died in 2014, the same year she gave birth to her oldest child, River Alan Thomas Hampson, who is named after her father.
During an interview on Anh’s Brush With Fame, she said River even reminded her of her late father.
‘I just looked at him and he … he looked exactly like I thought he would. He was just the prettiest, ”she told Anh.
“He’s got Dad’s eyes, and it’s … Because he’s gone.”
“It’s so cool to see my dad’s expression every now and then. It’s wild, it’s the best. ‘
Parable: Megan has spoken about the likeness of her eldest son River (pictured), shares with her beloved dad and says they have the same eyes
Reflecting on her father’s passing, Megan said the two shared a tender moment before crossing the road.
“I came home and he was so weak and I just saw him in bed, and I walked after him and gave him a hug and I started crying.”
She concluded, ‘He just said,’ That’s okay, honey. ‘He said,’ You can cry, but, um … but not too much. Please don’t. ‘And I said,’ OK. I promise I won’t. ”
