Sam Armytage has revealed that she hasn’t spoken to her former Sunrise colleagues since she quit the Channel Seven breakfast show last month.
The journalist, 44, told me The Daily Telegraph she hadn’t contacted because she was simply enjoying a “quiet time” with her husband, Richard Lavender.
‘It’s only been a few weeks, so I had a quiet time and haven’t spoken to anyone [from Sunrise],’ she said.

Her last broadcast day was Thursday, March 11.
Last month, Kochie and Natalie revealed they had not been invited to Sam’s farewell luncheon, which was held at the Catalina restaurant in Sydney’s Rose Bay.
The duo told it The Kyle and Jackie O Show they hadn’t even been told about the event, despite the presence of Kylie Gillies, presenter of The Morning Show.

Not on the guest list: Last month, Kochie and Natalie revealed they were not invited to Sam’s farewell lunch, which was held at the Catalina restaurant in Sydney’s Rose Bay.
“Why didn’t you go to Sam’s going-away party?” asked radio host Kyle Sandilands. “All the photographers were there, but I didn’t see you there.”
Kochie then let slip that they were not invited.
“We didn’t know about it and had a postponed Christmas party the next day,” he said.
Natalie added, “And we had champagne in the office for a while.”

The pair also strongly denied rumors that Sam was forced to leave Seven’s top-rated breakfast show.
Kochie denied that Sam was pushed out, saying she ‘just wanted a change of life’ after she married Bowral businessman Richard Lavender.
“No, no, Sam just wanted a change of life, she’s married,” he said.
Before Sam left the show, she made headlines when she spoke about the toxic environment of the TV industry in an article for Stellar magazine.
There is a lot about television that is all about you and that is a terrible way to live your life. TV isn’t necessarily very healthy, ”she said.
‘It’s full of sociopaths and narcissists. It can be a dangerous environment, let me tell you. ‘
She also said that unmarried, childless women on television were treated differently and given more work compared to their married counterparts.
Her comments upset her colleagues and executives at Seven and have been described by some insiders as “ career suicide. ”
