Sunrise Meteorologist Sam Mac Teases Major Career Change After Viewers Ask Robert Irwin to Replace Him
Sam Mac explained what he would do if he wasn’t Sunrise’s meteorologist.
The TV presenter, 41, took to Instagram on Wednesday and asked his followers to take part in a question and answer session.
One fan asked the question: “If you weren’t a meteorologist, what would you be?” »
Sam answered the question with “professional dancer.” Obvs’, to a clip of himself performing a Latin dance to Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie on Dancing with the Stars in 2022.
The clip abruptly cuts to an interview with Sam on The Morning Show, where he says, “My parents are Irish, but I’m taking one of those hereditary tests because I assure you I’m Latino.”

The hilarious response to fans’ question comes just days after the weatherman was trolled by schoolchildren who wanted Robert Irwin to replace him on the breakfast show.
Sam, who has jokingly argued with Robert, 19, since the zookeeper stepped in as a substitute last year, stood next to a group of children holding handmade signs who said: “We like Sam Mac…but Robert Irwin for the weatherman!” ‘
Sam took the vaccine in good spirits, captioning the post: “Not yet! This is getting ridiculous.’
Sam said he would like to become a professional dancer and shared a clip of himself on Dancing with the Stars.

The playful feud between Sam and Robert began in July last year when Robert replaced him while he was on personal leave.
Since then, the pair have taken friendly jabs at each other, with Robert’s huge fan base wanting to see him on TV daily.
It looks like they might get their wish too, as Robert is reportedly set to take over from Dr Chris Brown as co-host of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

In response to the report, a Network 10 spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia it was anyone’s guess who would take the coveted spot.
“The guessing game of who is in the jungle is already underway with plenty of speculation as to who will fill those very big shoes for Australia’s most sought-after hosting gig,” they wrote.
“But you know how it goes, just like camp celebrities, we can neither confirm nor deny the rumors about a new jungle host.”
“For now, we’ll just have to keep you waiting until our intimate Upfront event reveals all,” they concluded.
