Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington surprised Sunrise viewers on Friday morning when he joked about having a new look.
The breakfast show host, 45, appeared on Channel Seven’s breakfast show with what appeared to be a bold eyebrow.
Viewers who had just tuned in were confused as Mark Beretta concluded his latest sports news, only for the camera to return to Shirvo and his strange appearance.
However, closer inspection revealed that it was just a piece of black duct tape that the TV host stuck between his eyebrows as a joke.
Earlier in the show, co-host Monique Wright reported on Oasis announcing the dates of their 2025 Australian reunion tour.
Singer Liam Gallagher has long been known for his bold monobrow.
When the segment ended, Shirvo joked, “I just hope I can grow that monobrow back.”
“Oh, you have one eyebrow,” Monique, 51, said.

‘Yes, it has grown again. That was quick,” Shirvo deadpanned.
“You might need a little more (tape) than that,” co-host Natalie Barr joked.
Rock legends Oasis will head to Australia for a series of concerts next year.
According to a source close to the band, the Britpop chart-toppers have only scheduled two shows in Melbourne and Sydney for their Oasis ’25 Live tour.
The Wonderwall hitmakers will play their first Australian concert at Marvel Stadium on October 31 before heading to Sydney’s Accor Stadium on November 7.
Music magazine Rolling Stone reported Thursday on the first shows in Australia ahead of any official announcement.

However, fans could be rejoicing as there is speculation that the Britpop band will be adding more shows to the Australian tour as there is an entire week blocked in their schedule between the Melbourne and Sydney shows.
The band is known to have added last-minute gigs on their current reunion world tour.
Last week, NME reported that Oasis had already booked shows in Australia.
It will be the first time the band has toured the country in 20 years, after last playing in Australia in 2005.
