The Sundance Institute has announced the dates for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
The festival, which runs from January 18 to 28, will take place in person in Park City, Utah, marking the 40th edition of the Robert Redford-founded party.
Sundance also noted that a “robust roster” of movies would be available to online viewers, but the scope of the online offerings is currently unclear and more details are said to be forthcoming at a later date. The 2023 festival was offered in a hybrid format with online offerings including all competition titles, including the American Dramatic Competition.
The 2023 Sundance Film Festival came after two years of virtual festivals in 2021 and 2022, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Highlights of this year’s party included documents covering the lives and careers of Michael J. Fox and Brooke Shields, while features such as Fair game And Flora and Son sold out of the party in big price tags.
Project submissions for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival are now open.
