The original Sugababes trio have dealt a brutal blow to their former band members.
Keisha Buchanan, 40, Mutya Buena, 39, and Siobhan Donaghy, 40, formed the iconic girl band in 1998.
However, the line-up underwent several changes after Siobhan left in 2001, replaced by Heidi Range; Mutya and Keisha were eventually replaced in the mid-2000s by Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen, respectively.
Now, appearing on Will Manning’s Capital Breakfast show on Thursday, the members of OG reflected on the group’s formation over the years, stating that they will always be the best and “the essence” of the group.
‘You three are the OG Sugababes but of all the versions, which one do you think was the best?’ Will asked.

Mutya joked: ‘The first one!’
“I think the thing is, we started it when we were teenagers,” Siobhan said, while Mutya added: “It’s our baby.”
Siobhan continued: “And I think there will always be something about Sugababes that is this for us, it’s where it started and it’s the essence of who it is.”
“Makes sense,” Will replied.
It comes after the girl band announced they are set to embark on their ‘biggest ever UK and European tour’ in spring 2025, with shows scheduled in cities including London, Birmingham and Cardiff.
The original members reunited in 2019 and have since sold out The O2, closed Glastonbury stages twice due to demand and performed to record crowds at European concerts.
Announcing the tour in a joint statement, the Push The Button singers said: “We are very excited to announce our biggest UK and European tour to date.

Earlier this year, Sugababes were worried that no one would attend their Glastonbury performance, even though it was so popular that security had to close access to their stage amid huge fan demand.
Appearing on This Morning, the About You Now hitmakers spoke about how nervous they were before their performance.
Keisha said, “We’re always so nervous, especially when we go out to perform, because we think someone’s going to show up.”

But it was really nice. We had the best time. For us this never goes out of style. We are very grateful.
‘Getting the response we’ve had has been incredible, we don’t take it for granted. We got on a plane as soon as we got off stage and headed to Marrakech.’
Their appearance came after it was reported that the packed crowd waiting to see the band actually forced security to close the entrance to a stage at Glastonbury.
The West Holts stage, which has a capacity of 35,000, had to operate on a “one in one out” system to avoid crowding when fans arrived to see the group.
The English girl group performed at Glastonbury in 2022 on the smaller Avalon Stage, which has a capacity of 3,000 people, but police restricted entry to the concert to prevent more people from arriving for safety reasons.
