Sue Radford left in tears as she recorded an emotional chapter about her dead son Alfie with her voice.
The star of Channel 5 series ’22 Kids and Counting’, who lives in Morecambe, Lancashire, is currently working on the audiobook version of her book with her husband Noel, titled The Radfords: Making Life Count.
The mother of 22 admitted it was challenging to read the chapter about her 17th baby, who was stillborn more than a decade ago.
Alfie was born on July 6, 2014, after the baby’s heartbeat could no longer be found during the three-month scan.
On Instagram, Sue shared a photo of the title page of the autobiography as she recounted the emotional experience of speaking out loud.
She wrote: “I don’t think I can read this without tears coming to my eyes.”
In another post of herself in the announce booth, she added: “Today has been a difficult day of recording.”
“I had to stop reading Alfie’s chapter a lot.”

The family often go to Alfie’s grave to pay their respects. Alfie was born on July 6, 2014, after the baby’s heartbeat could no longer be found during his three-month scan.
Last year, Sue wrote a heartfelt tribute to her late son Alfie on her Instagram stories.
She wrote: ‘This time 10 years ago I was in a delivery room and was told our beautiful baby had no heartbeat.
‘I would be induced a few hours later so I would be born silent but perfect at 7:54 the next morning.
‘This time of year is never easier. “I can’t believe that tomorrow marks 10 years since he was born.”
Sue revealed that the audio version of the book will be out next month for fans to purchase.
Last year, Sue announced that her first book will chronicle her lives since her first pregnancy with her husband Noel, when she was 13 and he was 17.

In a video message to fans, Noel added that they’ve been working on the project for “years” and promised it will go into “a lot more detail” than their TV show.

It comes after Sue revealed she is planning a special family holiday abroad when she turns 50 in March.
The star revealed she wants to have a “whole year of celebrations” to ease the pain of hitting the big 5-0.
In addition to a romantic getaway alone with Noel, she’s also planning a big trip to Disney in Florida with all of her kids and 11 grandchildren.
In an interview with The mirrorHe said: ‘Turning 50 is a very important thing. I remember when I was 40 years old and that was a big problem. I absolutely hated it! So (this time) I said, “You know what? Since I’m turning 50, I’ll definitely have a whole year of celebrations!”
‘I think if you’re going to turn 50, to soften the blow a little bit, it has to be big… It’ll be nice to do some things!’
Sue and Noel have 22 children, including Chris, 35, Sophie, 31, Chloe, 29, Jack, 27, Daniel, 25, Luke, 24, Millie, 23, Katie, 22, James, 21, Ellie, 19, Aimee. 18, Josh, 17, Max, 16, Tillie, 14, Oscar, 13, Casper, 12, Hallie, nine, Phoebe, eight, Archie, seven, Bonnie, six and Heidie, four. Sadly, the couple’s 17th child, Alfie, was stillborn on July 6, 2014.
Their grandchildren will also join Sue and Noel for the big birthday bash, along with their children’s partners.
The family is known for taking several vacations a year and is a big fan of traveling to the Sunshine State, as they have done many times in the past.
This year’s trip would mark his eighth solo holiday to the US in just three years, as well as traveling around the UK and Europe in his £40,000 motorhome which he bought in 2022.
The Radfords have also traveled by plane to exotic locations such as the Maldives and Dubai.
