Just hours after the shocking final episode of Succession aired on HBO, Brian Cox was spotted heading into The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Studios.
The 76-year-old Scottish actor arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City to tap Monday night’s episode of The Late Show.
While it was already confirmed before season 4 began that it would be the final season of the hit series, fans were still shocked that Cox’s patriarchal character Logan Roy was killed off in the third episode Sunday night, titled Connor’s Wedding.
Cox is seen entering the studio wearing a light orange shirt under an olive green T-shirt.
He also wore matching orange-rimmed sunglasses with light blue jeans for his talk show outing.

The actor completed the look with a pair of matching orange boots as he walked through the studio.
He was also spotted with some fans and hugging them before heading to the studio for the talk show.
Cox even stopped by to sign some autographs for fans waiting outside the Ed Sullivan Theater.
While many fans expected Cox’s character Logan Roy to die at some point in the final season, since his health had been in decline for some time, not many expected the death to occur as early as it did in the third episode.
Even Cox himself revealed in an interview with New York times That he was expecting his character to die…but not that soon.
Cox revealed that the show’s creator Jesse Armstrong called him and told him, “Logan is going to die.”
And I thought, “Oh, that’s good.” I thought he was going to die in regards to Episode 7 or 8, but Episode 3, I thought… “Hmm, that’s a little early.” Cox said.
Well, they had to end it somehow, and it was Jesse’s choice. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, the problem with a lot of TVs, especially American TV, is that they’re past their sell-by date,” Cox added.

And the cool thing about Jesse and the writers is that they won’t. It was difficult for them because it was not easy to finish. And I think Jesse found it sad — at the premiere, someone exclaimed, “Well, if it was so sad, why did you do it?”
But I think there are a lot of reasons why Jesse ended it. And I applaud the fact that he did. It was brave because everyone loved the show. Always leave the party when it’s high, not when it’s low.
The actor also said that he believes his character’s death will definitely change the course for the rest of the final season.
It changes the stakes. The main protagonist is gone. And children have to deal with it or not. I think next week is going to be difficult for a lot of the audience because they are going to miss Logan. And I don’t think that’s a bad thing — I think that’s a really good thing,” Cox admitted.
Logan was coming to a resting point anyway. He knew his kids would never be like that — he got that sweet line when he said, “I love you, but you’re not serious.” And I think that’s very basic,” Cox added.
“The whole premise is really about entitlement and rich people and the fact that he plowed this very gully. And the results of that plowing are these kids and how vulnerable they are, not necessarily because of him, but because of wealth. They all suffer from entitlement in one way or another. They act like spoiled brats a lot of the time,” Cox said. times.
With seven episodes left in the final season, it will be interesting to see how Logan’s death affects the fate of his children and the company he built.
