An irate customer was caught on camera Monday deliberately driving his new Subaru into a Utah car dealership.
Michael Lee Murray, 35, was apparently upset after purchasing the Subaru Outback from the Tim Dale Mazda Southtowne dealership in Sandy earlier that day, only to discover what he said were mechanical problems with the vehicle. according to Fox13.
He returned to the dealership hours later demanding his money back and asking for the vehicle to be returned. In the aftermath, he told police that the store “sold him a lemon and they wouldn’t give him his money back.” Newsweek reports.
Salesman then explained that the sales contract for the Subaru Outback was ‘as is’ and therefore he would not give him a refund.
When Murray heard this, he allegedly alerted staff members that he was going to drive the vehicle through the front door.
He then got back into his new car and did just that, crashing into the front glass doors, leaving them shattered as he crashed into the reception desk.
“I was just really angry, I was angry about my money,” Murray has since told Inside Edition.
“I blacked out for a moment,” he claimed, admitting, “I know I probably shouldn’t have done it.”

Harrowing footage of the crash, recorded by someone at the scene that day, showed the Subaru breaking the front glass door and crashing into the wooden reception desk, leaving broken pieces and objects strewn across the floor.
Murray was then seen opening the front door of the car to the broken reception desk and yelling at someone off camera, “I told you, you motherfuckers,” as he slammed the car door.
Someone then shouted for staff members to call the local police, to which Murray replied: ‘Call the police, they have nothing.’
He then took off his jacket, placed it on the car and rolled up the sleeves of his shirt.
At that point, it appeared Murray was going to flee the scene, but he immediately returned and asked, “Is there anyone under the car?”
When someone responded that no one was stuck at the car, Murray grabbed his jacket and walked outside. The people at the dealership had to turn off the car because they had to wade through shards of glass.
“Murray’s vehicle was completely inside the building,” Sandy police officers later wrote in a booking affidavit obtained by Newsweek.
“The front doors were now inside the building, glass had been shattered everywhere where Murray’s vehicle was located and some pieces of the door and door frame had struck another vehicle, causing damage to the side of that vehicle as well.”
Damage from the crash is estimated at $10,000, with damage to the building (pictured) and another car that was on the covered sales floor exceeding $5,000.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the crash, although employees said they had to quickly jump out of the way to avoid being hit by the oncoming car.
Murray was soon taken into custody and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
He was charged with misdemeanor and misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and economic interruption.
Murray was released from jail on Tuesday.
