Nottingham Forest and Steven Reid have been suspended following an incident against Liverpool on March 2, with a referee report detailing the heartbreaking words directed at referee Paul Tierney.
A statement issued by the FA on Wednesday confirmed that the club admitted that “its players and occupants of the technical area did not behave inappropriately after the final whistle” after being charged by the FA earlier in the month.
Reid, who is first-team coach at Forest, received a red card from referee Tierney after the final whistle, and Darwin Nunez scored the winning goal for the Reds in the 99th minute.
The goal came in controversial fashion, with Tierney giving the ball to Liverpool instead of Forest after a restart caused by Ibrahima Konate going down in the area with a head injury.
Ugly scenes followed after the final whistle and an independent regulatory commission has sanctioned both parties.

A £75,000 fine was imposed following a hearing after the events, although the club dismissed reports that its owner Evangelos Marinakis had to be restrained after chasing Tierney through the tunnel, but said it approached the official.
Reid admitted that his language towards a referee was abusive and insulting, although he denied acting inappropriately and/or using abusive and/or insulting language towards a referee after being sent off.
The second charge against Reid, who made almost 400 appearances as a player for teams including Millwall and Blackburn, was deemed proven by the independent Regulatory Commission and he was handed an extended two-match touchline suspension and a £5,000 fine.
Tierney detailed the shocking allegations in his match report, writing: “After the final whistle, I was surrounded by members of the Nottingham Forrest substitutes and backroom staff on the pitch. One of those who approached me was Steven Reid (Nottingham Forest manager) who was not on the team sheet.
‘He asked me about a decision and I told him I would talk to him inside and not outside on the pitch. He then continued to question me and I repeated that I would talk to him inside. Then he said, “It’s the same thing every week, you bastard.”
“I showed him the red card and then he said, ‘I worked with you every fucking week last season. It’s the same thing every fucking week, bitches.” He then continued to use the word fuck and called me a bastard on at least one more occasion (making a minimum of three in total) as we walked off the field.
Assistant referee Scott Ledger said in emails to the FA: “After the final whistle, as we were leaving the pitch, we were approached by Nottingham Forest manager Steven Reid. Reid made several comments about our integrity as a group of officials.
‘Reid made a comment calling Paul “****” at least three times. Furthermore, after being shown the red card, he continued to make comments about the PGMOL, referencing that the referee group was against his club.

Reid was fined £5,000 and will serve an extended two-game touchline suspension for Forest matches.
Reid will now be unable to take his place on the touchline for his team’s matches against Crystal Palace and Fulham at the City Ground in the Premier League.
Forest are embroiled in a relegation fight, having been deducted four points for breaching the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability (PSR) rules.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side currently sit in 18th place in the league standings, one point behind Luton in 17th place with nine games left to play.
