Golf influencer Hailey Ostrom has urged the US to “get a grip” after accusing Kamala Harris’ devastated supporters of “acting like this is the end of the world”.
Harris suffered a crushing defeat to Donald Trump in Tuesday night’s presidential election, and the latter is still on track to sweep all seven key states as votes continue to roll in.
It marks one of the most stunning political comebacks of all time for Trump, whose controversial first term ended in disgrace four years ago when thousands of his loyal supporters stormed the Capitol. The 78-year-old also faced 34 felony charges before his re-election.
As a result, much of the country was shocked by her return to office, and Harris voters are now worried about her future.
However, Ostrom is baffled by the dramatic reaction to Trump’s victory, claiming that his first term in the White House was not as bad as people suggest.

Donald Trump’s resounding election victory has left several Americans dismayed
Ostrom, who has 935,000 followers on Instagram, insists Trump’s victory is not ‘the end of the world’
The professional golfer, who has 935,000 followers on Instagram, said in a video message on the platform on Wednesday: “Waking up this morning, I couldn’t believe how many people were tripping. So I’m just here to tell you to get a grip, life continue… Okay?!
‘We’ve already had four years of Trump and we all survived. So whether you like it or not, why is everyone acting like this is the end of the world?
‘We didn’t have a world war when he was first president, we didn’t have a nuclear attack. The aliens didn’t come to attack us. Control yourself.
‘It’s not that serious. Are you OK. You’ll be fine. People cry about this and I say… is this our biggest problem in America? Damn, we are privileged.
Ostrom hinted that he voted for Trump in Tuesday’s election before embarking on his rant about the reaction to his victory.
“I’m not saying this to be rude or mean either,” he continued. ‘I’m not making fun of those people who are crying. But if you’re someone who voted for Kamala and just lost a pick and are so upset…just take reality in for a second.
‘Turn off the news and ask yourself: the four years that Trump was president, was your life that different from what it is now? Was it much more negative than it is now? What was the worst thing that happened to you when you were president? Was it a direct effect of him being president?
“I think most of you would probably say that life was pretty much the same and pretty normal.”
