A stunning college football fan went viral over the weekend after being captured in the stands during Georgia’s win over Texas.

The blonde fan, who has since been identified as Kiera Mayer, a University of Arkansas student and Texas native, was caught on television cameras late in the third quarter in Austin on Saturday night.

In a post that racked up 43,000 likes on X, Barstool Sports shared a photo of Mayer on the stream and wrote, “Tonight we’re all rooting for Texas.”

Unfortunately for Mayer and the Texas fans, they were blown out by Georgia 30-15 that night.

The home fans also sparked controversy during the defeat after throwing bottles onto the pitch in protest of a controversial decision to hold the ball.

Kiera Mayer is the fan in question

Mayer is from Texas and attends the University of Arkansas.

The blonde follower has since been identified online as Texas native Kiera Mayer.

They were outraged when an interception by the then-top-ranked Longhorns against the now No. 2 Bulldogs was initially overturned by a pass interference penalty.

In protest, Texas fans threw hundreds of bottles onto the field to express their displeasure, before head coach Steve Sarkisian could be seen approaching and urging them to stop.

Incredibly, their surprising protests seemed to work when the decision was eventually overturned, but the SEC fined Texas $250,000 for the incident.

Terrifying footage emerged from the game showing a spectator being rushed out of the crowd amid a medical emergency after bottles were thrown from all directions.

Texas superfan and actor legend Matthew McConaughey criticized the football team’s fans for their actions Saturday night.

‘Longhorn Nation and specifically our student section (Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium), MOC McConaughey is coming to you here. First of all, you were electric Saturday night when we hosted Georgia. Bravo,” he began his statement on social media.

‘Let’s keep bringing it. Although our Horns did not come away with the victory, you created a measurable home field advantage. But let’s be real about the bottle bombing problem we had in the field. It’s not cool. Phantom movement.’

‘Yes, that call was stupid, but we’re better than that. Longhorn Nation knows how to show up, stand out like no other and still keep it classy. So, in the future, let’s clean up that kind of nonsense and leave it behind forever. We have to hold hands on that.”

‘Next November 9th, when the Gators come to town, let’s make sure they feel the heat, can’t hear the play calls and burn their timeouts, but remember that nothing comes to OUR field except that Texas fight. Until then, root hard and get them hooked. McConaughey.”

Georgia-Texas had the largest television audience of any college football game last weekend with 12.9 million viewers.
