‘We can confirm reports of an incident that occurred on our campus on Friday night. “As a result, one student was hospitalized but is now in a stable condition and the other is in custody,” Oxford Academy told NBC Connecticut.
“We extend our thoughts and support to both families during this difficult time.”
Founded in 1906, the boarding school’s tuition is $86,000 for the 2024-45 academic year, plus an additional $10 to $12,000 for summer experience, $400 in Chromebook insurance, and an additional laundry plan.
This does not include charges for books, student entertainment and activities, trips, and school supplies which are billed monthly.
“The safety and well-being of our students, faculty and staff and the entire Westbrook community remain our top priorities and we are grateful for all the support and comfort we have received,” the school said.
“We understand that such events can cause fear and anxiety, but please be assured that the campus is safe and secure.”
