A Florida high school student has accused her teacher of sexual harassment over comments she made about her outfit – and revealed that she was banned for 10 days after a violent clash with school administrators over the comments.
Alice Wagner, an eighth grade at Yulee Middle School, claims her teacher made a comment about her breasts during class, saying her outfit “ let them hang out for the whole world to see. ”
The young teenager wore a white tank top under a gray long-sleeved cardigan sweater and a bohemian skirt.
Wagner said WJXT astonished by the unnamed female teacher’s remark, she left the class without permission.
She said, “I went to the bathroom and I came back and I said,” You have to stop sexualizing 14-year-old girls. ” I packed up my things and removed myself from the situation. ‘

Wagner then went to the administrative office to call her parents, but claims she was not allowed to call.
She then got into a heated debate with administrators and was suspended for ten days, she told WJXT.
Wagner’s suspension went into effect on April 28, the young teenager said.
Wagner says she was told her undergarments showed through the top – in violation of the school’s dress code.
But she claims her sweater made that impossible.
In posts made online, Wagner said her teacher’s comments made her “ very uncomfortable. ”
She noted that she was expelled after responding in a way she “shouldn’t have” to the school principals, but did not specify what those were.
Her mother, Sarah Wagner, told WJXT that her daughter’s behavior went too far when she argued with administrators, but claimed she was “ in fact sexually harassed by her teacher. ”

Wagner, 14, posted about the incident on Facebook, saying she was ‘very uncomfortable’
“I don’t think it’s okay for her to talk to teachers that way, but I understand why she was angry. She was, in fact, sexually harassed by her teacher, ‘the mother said.
“The teacher apologized, she understood that what she was doing was wrong.”
It is unclear whether the family has made a formal complaint of sexual harassment.
The young teenager added that the situation has left her “extremely disappointed with the school system.”
“I feel helpless and silenced,” she said.
Wagner said students have previously tried to “stop sexism on school grounds” but “to no avail.”
The young teenager said she wants to “ make students, parents, teachers and many others aware of the injustice that is taking place here, because no one deserves to feel oppressed, no less in a place as vital as school. ”
DailyMail.com has reached out to Sarah Wagner and the Nassau County School District, which oversees the school, for more information and additional comments.
The Nassau County School District has one dress code policy that prohibits clothing that reveals undergarments.
