Strictly star Jamie Borthwick has revealed a secret struggle she faced while competing on the BBC dance show.
The EastEnders star, 30, was eliminated in week 10 after landing the dreaded dance for the first time, against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe.
However, the soap actor has now admitted that if they had made it through, continuing on the show would have been “almost impossible” anyway.
In a new interview with the mirror, Jamie admitted she was struggling to juggle her Strictly commitments with her work on EastEnders.
As the studios for both shows are close to each other, the actor decided to continue doing his day job while rehearsing and performing on the BBC show.
But there came a point where everything became more difficult and he worried that he couldn’t continue like this.

Jamie told the publication: ‘We had moments where it was easier than others. Our last week when we left the program was a very difficult week.
“If we had gotten through that week, it would have been almost impossible. We did the best we could, we worked very hard together and we got through it.”
Fans were left furious after Jamie and his professional partner Michelle Tsiakkas quit the competition and criticized the judges’ decisions to “constantly put down” the actor.
Although he was gracious in his defeat, the show’s viewers were left furious at the decision to send Jamie home and complained they were “absolutely gutted” that the actor was ousted before the quarter-finals.
But Jamie also admitted that since his time on the show ended, he’s never been too far from Michelle.
He told the newspaper: ‘We haven’t left each other’s side since we dated. I haven’t missed her because we’ve talked every day.’
And now the duo will embark on the Strictly Live Tour together, meaning they will spend even more time in each other’s company.

The Strictly tour kicks off in Birmingham this week and will be judged by Strictly panel Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Revel Horwood and, for the first time, Motsi Mabuse.
The tour will also feature its first trio, as Amy Dowden will be supported by Lauren Oakley on the Live Tour, meaning both women will be performing alongside JB Gill.
The Welsh star, 34, has returned to the dance floor after she was booted off the BBC’s flagship show three months ago when she “fell ill” and it was later revealed she had suffered a shin insufficiency stress fracture. .
Speaking to MailOnline about her return, she said: ‘I feel like Amy again in 2025. My energy levels are different, I’m super excited.
“Being on tour again, being able to dance with JB again after our trip was cut so unexpectedly short, but also being part of a team is a great way to start 2025.”
