Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice reunited with Rose Ayling-Ellis on Wednesday as they enjoyed a candlelit dinner.
The Italian professional, 33, took to his Instagram to share a snap of his former dance partner as they enjoyed a night out following his shock departure from Strictly when Amanda Abbington quit the show.
Giovanni and EastEnders star Rose, 28, developed a strong bond when they competed in 2021 and won the Glitterball trophy.
As the pair enjoyed a cozy dinner at the Royal Opera House, Giovanni captured a funny scene recording his friend.
In the video the dancer poked fun at the actress when he told her, “I’m telling you what to do.” You should drink that,” as she points to her champagne flute.

Rose, who was wearing a white knitted sweater, took a sip from her glass and asked why.
“Because you got stinky breath,” Giovanni replied, laughing out loud and blaming it on the onion soup she had just eaten.
Rose – who made history on Strictly as the show’s first deaf contestant – hilariously tried to smell her own breath on the hand.
The duo started making fun of each other in the funny clip before enjoying a performance of The Cellist for World Ballet Day.
Later in the evening, Giovanni shared another hilarious clip of Rose trying to copy the dance as he wrote: ‘She apparently got inspired…’
The outing came after Giovanni has shocked fans with his career switch from professional dancer to entrepreneur, launching his own fragrance line after his annual competition appearance was cut short.
Giovanni and his famous dance partner, Sherlock actress Amanda, 51, were due to return to the glitzy ballroom for the show’s annual Halloween special after missing the week before.
But before the celebratory episode, she confirmed she couldn’t continue due to “personal reasons.”

Amanda didn’t say why she quit, but said she didn’t come to the decision “lightly” as insiders claimed her time on the show was plagued with difficulties.
She thanked her team but did not mention Giovanni, writing: ‘It is with great regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly, but for personal reasons I cannot move forward.
‘It has been an absolute pleasure working with my fellow competitors, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and will miss seeing and competing together every Friday and Saturday.
‘I would like to thank the amazing production team and everyone at Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. They are a great bunch of people and I will miss them all.
‘I’m so sad that I can’t continue. Thank you to everyone who voted and sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all wonderful. Really. Thank you. xxx’.
