Referring to his treatment, he said: ‘Now I wish I had never stopped methotrexate because I would take that pain to this every day of the week!!
‘I’ve just started taking my new medication today, which takes 12 weeks to take effect and even then it may not work, so I’m not quite sure what I can do to relieve the pain until then. I got my steroid injections and they literally lasted a week.
Adam went on to reveal that he was seeking additional treatment for his intense pain, stating, “I can’t go on like this.”

‘But wow…these last few days have been terrifying. I cried a little today, it really can take you over!!
“I’m not saying this for a sob story or sympathy, I’m just trying to raise awareness about this disease and what so many others are going through, the good, the bad and the ugly… I’m lucky to have a great support system and not many do. to anyone who is going through the same thing and is alone! I see you I feel you!!
“It’s going to get better, don’t give up. If you know someone who is suffering, just call them and check it out.”

Earlier this month, Adam revealed for the first time that he “finds it difficult to walk” while updating fans on his health amid his battle with arthritis.
She first revealed her diagnosis in August last year while preparing for the BBC show Strictly, which meant He could barely walk before his dancing debut last September.
Adam has since kept fans informed about his condition and shared an extensive update on how he’s doing, revealing that the side effects of the methotrexate injections were “too much” for him, so he’s trying a new type. of medicine.
In addition to rheumatoid arthritis, methotrexate is also commonly given to those suffering from psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, and cancer.
The main side effect of taking such a medication is a greater tendency to contract infections such as Covid-19 and the flu and to suffer worse illnesses.
He wrote: “So for those of you who know, I have been taking methotrexate injections for quite some time and the side effects were too much for me, I had enough so I decided to stop them…
‘I’ve been off them for about 5 weeks now and haven’t taken anything and the pain has definitely increased, I’m finding it hard to walk again especially in the morning and my wrists and fingers are just as bad if not worse.
“I’ve been taking a lot of painkillers to help me and they have helped relieve the pain when I can train, but the next day my body is in pieces.”

Last year, Adam opened up about how he could barely move before his dancing debut in September.
He told his followers that he was back at the hospital today to try something else, adding: “I know many of you have recommended biologics to me, but in order to take them, I have to have tried at least two different medications.” first.
‘So I tried methotrexate tablets and injections and now I’m going to move on to sulfasalazine tablets. It’s a long process but I have to stay positive!’
Sulfasalazine is another medication used to treat inflammatory diseases and can cause nausea.
Adam continued: ‘The thing is, I’ve never been pain-free!! For over two years I have been in pain EVERY DAY and as you can imagine, it definitely takes its toll.
“The only time I can think of that I haven’t been pain free is when I was doing Strictly… 4-5 weeks in pain was unbearable to the point I couldn’t physically continue. I was putting on a brave face, But I was really suffering!
‘Although I was in pain and suffering physically, in my mind I wanted to keep going and the team strictly mentioned steroid injections to help alleviate some of the pain and it worked tremendously!!!
“I was still shit at dancing, but the pain was gone. And I’ll be honest, I just need a little breathing room again to feel normal again and that’s what I’ve had again today! So let’s keep our fingers crossed! I know it’s not a cure, but it just gives me a little time until the other medications take effect!’
He ended the post with words of motivation, writing: ‘I don’t really talk to anyone about any of this, and the reason I share it is because I know many of you are hurting, but I want you to know that we have to stay strong!
‘No one will understand what we are going through, it is difficult, some days good and some days bad, but we cannot let it defeat us. I refuse to give in!!’
