Strictly Come Dancing professional Aljaž Škorjanec is reportedly set to pair up with former Love Islander Tasha Ghouri for the upcoming series of the BBC show.

A source told the publication: “Strictly bosses want to produce the most amazing, warm and fluffy show possible. There can be no scandal.”

Slovenian-born professional dancer Aljaž, 34, announced his return to the ballroom in July this year for the show’s 20th anniversary, after it was confirmed that Giovanni Pernice would not be rejoining the line-up.

The star, who welcomed daughter Lyra with partner Janette Manrara in July last year, said she hoped to make the one-year-old proud after her two-year hiatus from the BBC show.
And it looks like she will, as the rumoured pairing comes as 26-year-old Tasha, who is trained in commercial dance, is said to be the contestant all the male professional dancers want to pair up with.
Meanwhile, 61-year-old Nick Kowles is the “big favourite” among the female pros.
This comes after fans declared bosses made a “bad decision” following reports that professional Kai Widdrington will not have a celebrity partner in the new series.
The dancer was paired with Angela Rippon for the 2023 edition, but sources said that due to the smaller number of female celebrities, he was left out this year.
Fans took to social media to share their fury at the news, admitting they are “absolutely devastated” that Kai will not be dancing with another star this year.
There were also those who were quick to question the decision to bring back professional Aljaž, if at least one professional dancer was not going to be paired with a female celebrity.

“But it’s still very early days, as the show isn’t expected to start until mid-September, and with such a strong lineup, we’re expecting fierce competition and surprises as the season progresses.”
