Strictly Come Dancing’s Nick Knowles shared a health update just hours before Saturday’s show after it was confirmed he would be performing.
The DIY SOS star was left sweating at his spot after suffering the injury while changing a tire when his car broke down while driving to his 62nd birthday last week.
On Instagram, Nick said: ‘On the way to the studios, this is the day of the show. I’ve had two days to learn the dance as best I can.’
“I promise to give it my all tonight and try to do well, (fellow pro) Luba (Mushtuk) has done her magic by choreographing something incredible.”
“All I have to do now is perform it. It’s been a tough week but I’m really excited to dance later tonight and don’t worry about me, the shoulder is getting stronger every day.”

Nick has been given the green light by show bosses – a decision reinforced by his popularity with viewers – meaning he will return with professional dancer Luba Mushtuk for the second week.
A source said The mirror: ‘Nick and Luba’s attitude is that the show must go on and they were thrilled when they gave it the go-ahead. They will even try to lift it.
Luba has told Nick that the move he was planning for the routine may be safe for him, so as things stand, they’re still going to do it. Nick is all for it because the last thing he wants is the sympathy vote.
“Now that he’s been told he can perform this week, he’s determined to go out there and give the routine everything he’s got.
“He and Luba are now rehearsing in Elstree to help them make up for the time they have lost this week.”
Former Strictly Professional Janette Manrara also confirmed that the presenter will stay on the show as he hosts Thursday’s installment of It Takes Two.

On Wednesday night, the TV star shared a video on Instagram, revealing that her recovery is going well and that a final decision will be made soon on whether she will be able to dance at Saturday’s live show.
‘What a little update for you. “I just finished soaking in the bath after a day of training which went very, very well,” Nick told his followers.
‘The shoulder is repairing very well. I also saw a great physiotherapist today and he helped me enormously.”
She revealed that the producers and her medical team will decide on Thursday whether she will dance over the weekend.
Nick previously gave Strictly fans an update as his arm injury continued to threaten his future on the BBC dancing competition.

“It’s really a great day for me,” he told his fans in a video. “I’m very, very hopeful that we’ll find out I can dance on Saturday.”

“I feel good, I still have my arms in a sling to make sure they are rested when I’m not wearing it, but today I’m going to try dancing to see what my capabilities are.”

He added: “I would really like to continue being part of the competition, so keep your fingers crossed for me.”

A source told MailOnline: “Everyone is anxiously waiting for the medical team to give them the all-clear so Nick can compete this weekend, but they are determined not to lose him from the show.”
“He is a very popular figure with viewers, and if he needs time to recover, he will get a free pass to return the following week, if all goes well.”
‘If that bothers other contestants, so be it. The bosses want him back.”
This weekend, the first celebrity contestant will be eliminated from the dance show.
After visiting Harley Street for an emergency MRI on Monday, Nick told Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two that he was “really hopeful” he would be able to continue on the show.
He must dance an American Smooth to the rhythm of Parklife by Blur with his professional partner Luba, as long as he gets the go-ahead from the doctors.

Nick added: “Luckily I’m very big and Luba is very light, so she raises one arm.”
