Joe Sugg has reportedly landed a role as host of an “exciting” new BBC dating show.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 32, met his girlfriend Dianne Buswell, 34, when he starred in series 16 of the BBC competition in 2018.

And now, Joe will help others find love by hosting an upcoming pilot, titled World’s Most Honest Game Show.

It will bring together a group of singles to share their “good and ugly truths” with potential partners.

A source said Sun: ‘It’s an exciting new dating format based on honesty, meaning singles will discover both the best and bad parts of the other contestants they like.

‘Singles won’t be able to keep their not-so-good personality traits a secret for long, and Joe will help both sides of each couple discover the truth.

“Of course, there will also be a twist or two to keep things interesting.”

Joe has been in a relationship with professional dancer Dianne for six years, since they appeared on Strictly together.

They were runners-up in the series, while presenter Stacey Dooley and her partner Kevin Clifton, who are also now in a relationship, won the show.

In 2022, the BBC revealed that it would collaborate with Joe’s production company on future projects.

At the time, Joe expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and hinted at possible ideas for future development.

He said: “I am very excited to be partnering with BBC Studios on this future venture with Final Straw Productions.

“My head has always been full of ideas, so to be given the opportunity to put together a great team that can help bring these ideas to life with the support of BBC Studios and their guidance and experience is fantastic.”

MailOnline has contacted Joe’s representatives for comment.

Earlier this year, Joe almost made history by raking in £201,000 on The Chase Celebrity Special on Saturday, leaving presenter Bradley Walsh speechless.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star, 32, who reached the final in 2018, joined Myles Stephenson, David James and Lucrezia Millarini in the hope of raising money for charity.

Joe managed to raise £8,000 in his cash-generating round before going head to head with Paul Sinha, also known as Sinnerman.

After a positive round, Joe was offered to accept a low offer of £1,000 or a high offer of £201,000.

Joe joked: ‘If I go for the [the high offer] It could create a viral moment, which is good. It would also be an incredible amount for charity.

After choosing the highest bid, Joe managed to answer several questions correctly in his round.

Bradley said: ‘I wish you luck. You’re going to make history here, friend. If you do, you are making history.

Joe increased the prize pool to £213,000 for the final group round alongside Myles and David, after Lucrezia was eliminated.

The trio answered 18 questions correctly, but were surprised by the chaser who had 30 seconds left on his stopwatch.

Even though the group lost the lump sum of money for charities, they all received £1,000 each to donate to their selected charity.
