Josh Widdicombe has been announced as the first celebrity confirmed for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
The comedian, 41, is one of six famous faces taking to the dance floor for the festive edition of the BBC quiz show and joked he could be “about to ruin” Christmas for everyone by taking part.
He said: “I am absolutely terrified this will end in humiliation and I am worried I will be so bad that I will ruin Christmas for the nation.” Why have I done this?’
Throughout his career, Josh became known for presenting The Last Leg alongside Alex Brooker and Adam Hills for Channel 4 and also appeared on shows such as A League Of Their Own, Have I Got News For You and Taskmaster.
He also hosts the Parenting Hell podcast with Rob Beckett.
In the pre-recorded episode, which will air on December 25, each of the six couples will perform a holiday-themed routine in the hope of impressing the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas, as well as to the voting studio audience.
