Strictly Come Dancing fans want Chris McCausland to win the show, they have declared.
The Saturday night favourite returned to screens this weekend amid a huge scandal and a surprise victory for the NTA on its 20th anniversary.
Despite the event running until December, viewers have already claimed comedian Chris, 47, should lift the Glitterball Trophy.
The comedian made history as the show’s first blind contestant and fans were thrilled with his performance when it was revealed he will be dancing with Dianne Buswell.
One viewer wrote on X: ‘Just give the glitter ball to Chris McCausland NOW.

The comedian made history as the show’s first blind contestant and fans were thrilled with his performance in the first episode.
Another said: “Whoever came up with the idea of trying to get Chris McCausland to take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing… All I can say is… It was a stroke of absolute GENIUS.”
A third wrote: “I don’t know what his dancing will be like, but just for his jokes he deserves to go far, I don’t know.”
The comedian is among fifteen new celebrities taking part in the twenty-second season of the long-running show, which is currently under investigation amid allegations of behind-the-scenes misconduct.
But Chris managed to win over viewers on Saturday night when he made a light-hearted joke about TV doctor Punam Krishan.
Showing off her high-heeled court shoes, Krishnan, whose main focus is podiatry, said, “Yes, it’s all about the feet now. So, over the years, all I’ve heard is that blisters and blisters prevent dancing.”

The admission prompted McCausland to joke: “Punam, can I just say that none of us can believe we’ve ever managed to get in the same room as a GP?”

Olympian Tom Dean will compete with Nadiya Bychkova and pop singer Toyah Willcox will dance with Neil Jones, following her return to the series after a three-year absence.
Amy Dowden, who made a triumphant return to the series following her battle with breast cancer, will dance with JLS singer JB Gill.
Krishnan, a locum doctor, was discussing her hectic work schedule with the show’s host Tess Daly after being paired with Gorka Marquez, when McCausland intervened.

Opera singer Wynne Evans, best known to TV audiences for starring in the GoCompare adverts, has teamed up with Katya Jones and the line-up is completed by former X Factor winner Shayne Ward and his professional partner Nancy Xu.
