Strictly Christmas Special ‘Thrown Into MAYHEM After Sheridan Smith Pulls Out Of Performance With Gary Barlow With Just Days’ Notice’
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special has reportedly been thrown into chaos after Sheridan Smith pulled out of her performance with Gary Barlow.
Apparently just a few days in advance, show bosses were “clambering” when she stopped for filming on Monday.
Gary, 50, and Sheridan, 40, were set to perform their new celebratory single How Christmas Is Suposed To Be on the one-off special.
Oh no: Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special has reportedly been thrown into chaos after Sheridan Smith pulled out of her performance with Gary Barlow
A source told The sun: ‘The Beeb were told quite late in the day that Sheridan would not be able to film Tuesday after all.
“So it’ll just be Gary performing alone. They’re broken.’
MailOnline has reached out to both Strictly and Sheridan’s representatives for further comment.
The BBC announced that Gary and Sheridan would be performing on the show, where famous faces will battle it out on the dance floor to become the Strictly Christmas champion.
Stars such as Anne-Marie, Mel Giedroyc and Fred Sirieux will take the floor.
Sheridan recently cheated death in a horrific car accident during Storm Arwen last week.

Witnesses who saw her lose control of her Range Rover during the weather and plowed into a tree at high speed have revealed that the crash was so bad they thought ‘someone must be dead’.
Sheridan, 40, escaped with only cuts and bruises, but a dog walker who saw the wreckage of her vehicle told The Sun: “The scene was horrific. I automatically assumed, ”s**t, someone must be dead in there”. But then I looked in the car and there was no one to be seen.’
He added: ‘I panicked and started screaming through the bushes’ […] but there was no answer. The car was completely destroyed, the engine was out and the entire front of the body was missing.’
The crash came after Sheridan reportedly suffered a backstage meltdown and threatened to fire her team in a row over misogyny after her appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

The star filmed the chat show along with fellow guests Jeremy Clarkson, Riz Ahmed and Sting.
But reports suggest that, despite appearing good-humoured on camera, Sheridan claimed the show had a “chauvinistic” vibe, felt she was “not treated kindly,” and lashed out at her team for organizing the interview.
It’s unclear what directly upset Sheridan, who was the only female guest on that episode, but a spokesperson for the show said she told host Jonathan “it wasn’t him.”
A source told The Sun: “Sheridan was furious when shooting for Jonathan Ross ended.
‘She claimed that the atmosphere was chauvinistic and that there was an air of misogyny. She also claimed that she felt she had not been treated kindly.
“Sheridan yelled at the team that had come with her and said she fired them at some point. It was clear that Sheridan was angry with her team backstage after filming.”
Couple: Sheridan and her boyfriend Alex Lawler were said to be in the car at the time of the horror crash that left the mother of one with cuts and bruises
While a spokesperson for Jonathan Ross told the publication: “Sheridan seemed to be having a great time on the show, but seemed to get upset afterward.
“Jonathan asked her if everything was okay and she said, ‘Don’t worry, it’s not you.’ So Jonathan assumed it was a personal matter between Sheridan and the group of people she was coming with.
“We’re going to look into it right away. I hope Sheridan knows we would never take such a claim lightly.”
An ITV representative told MailOnline: ‘When booking the show we always want to make sure we are diverse and inclusive for everyone. We treat our guests with courtesy and respect at all times.’
