Street Fighter 6 gets our open house and a new character preview | -WhatsNew2Day


The famous fighting game Street Fighter 6 offers a new opportunity to experience before the release through an open beta that will start this weekend and for a period of 3 days.

Capcom announced the start of the open beta on all platforms, starting next Friday, May 19th, until Sunday, May 21st. Players will be able to try out the Battle Hub and 8 characters, as well as some items and game modes, before the game is released.

A video series has been made available for the Open Beta, the first part of which covers playable characters and some combat mechanics such as the Drive Gauge. The open beta will include eight characters from the game which will come as follows.

  5. Luke
  6. Jamie
  7. Kimberly
  8. Ken

Also, classic as well as modern controls will be available in the trial version, with the former featuring a familiar six-button control system while the latter simplifies the control system and execution of attacks into four shortcuts – light, medium, heavy and special. For control moves, it provides access to techniques such as Avoid Hits, Overdrive, and Drive Impact.

With the announcement that the Street Fighter 6 open beta will be released this weekend, Capcom section New to the character guide. This time, the focus is on the character of Jimmy, a break dancer who looks up to his cousins, Yun and Yang. As a rival to Luke, he specializes in Drunken Fist techniques.

Moving forward, Jimmy is looking to evolve his abilities and attacks, so he can access new moves while enhancing existing moves. As his drink levels up, Jimmy’s appearance becomes more brutal and powerful. The drink is leveled up by executing various fighting moves.

More details about the Battle Hub will come in Part 2 of the video series. Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC.
