“Oh my God, these kids will be 30 by then,” one joked.
“Of course the end is coming. The entire cast will die of old age by the time you release this,” teased another.
Others, however, have complained about the show’s continued trend of delaying season release dates.
“NOT 2025 WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAIT SEVERAL YEARS FOR EACH SEASON??? ridiculous,” one of them remarked.
“Season four is out mid-2022,” another noted. “How the f**ka series takes more than two years to release a new session when it is a success.”
But fans on the other side of the coin were quick to point out that the Writers Guild of America strike – which began on May 2 – is just coming to an end with the signing of a tentative agreement .
At the time, the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, tweeted to inform fans that filming on the show would be suspended until the strike was resolved.
“Duffers here. The writing doesn’t stop when filming begins,” they wrote on May 6.

But fans on the other side of the coin were quick to point out that the Writers Guild of America strike – which began on May 2 – is only just coming to an end with the signing of a tentative agreement .
“While we are excited to begin production with our incredible cast and crew, this is not possible during this strike. We hope that a fair agreement will be reached soon so that we can all return to work. Waiting…again and again.
Shortly after this announcement, SAG-AFTRA members announced they were also going on strike, which prevented many of the show’s stars from filming. This strike has not yet been resolved.
Therefore, filming – which the creative team estimates will last a year – has still not started and then comes editing, which is also a lengthy process.
“You need to understand that filming, typing and editing will take time,” one user tweeted.
“It’s about writing strike issues. We can’t do anything about it. They can’t do anything about it. I will anticipate the wait and be ready when it arrives!’ ” another noted optimistically.
‘All of you saying “oh my god 2025!!!” You all need to wake up. There was a writers and actors strike and no one has watched this show yet,” wrote a third.
They added: “Luckily if we get it in 2025. To be honest, we’re looking at maybe early 2026. Filming takes a year and they still have to write the episodes!”

“I mean, they’re really getting better at giving you that home run that the crowd loves. And I think season five will do so much of that.
