Rachael Gunn has revealed the strange offer she received from Sir Richard Branson

Raygun was offered the chance to perform alongside Boy George after wooing British billionaire Sir Richard Branson with her performance at the Olympics.

Australian breakdancer Rachael Gunn made the shock revelation during her first TV interview since her disastrous Paris routine on Network Ten’s The Project.

Gunn, 37, has spoken out about the social media attack she suffered in the wake of the Games, with scores of people mocking her unique moves, including Adele and Jimmy Fallon.

Other high-profile figures have publicly shown their support for Raygun, including Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and fellow Olympian Ariarne Titmus.

And now Gunn has revealed that Branson contacted her with an incredible offer.

“The advantage is that you get contacted by random people who you never thought would notice you,” she told The Project.

‘You know, and it’s not just about the breakers, who you’ve respected for a decade.

‘It’s someone like Sir Richard Branson calling you to say he enjoyed your performance and thought it was ‘brave’, ‘courageous’ and ‘funny’.

“And he would love to do something with me and take me on some cruise with Boy George. What is life? I don’t know.”

Reflecting on Fallon’s late-night TV sketch, Raygun said of the American: “I don’t know whether to hug him or yell at him,” she said. “Because, seriously, he ended up giving me an incredible platform!”

“I haven’t actually seen the sketch because I don’t think I’m in a condition to watch it yet, but I will watch it at some point. And, you know, several people have explained it to me and given me different opinions on it.

“But… I’m still in the process of being able to describe how I feel about all of this because it feels like a very strange dream that I’ve been having and that I’m going to wake up from at any moment.”

During the tell-all interview with Waleed Aly, Raygun said she knew she was in for a turbulent time after receiving a worrying message from an Australian Olympic Committee official after her routine.

“As soon as I finished, you know, my rounds, my AOC press liaison was like, ‘Oh, there’s a little bit of a storm brewing on social media. You might want to stop using it,'” she said.

“I thought, ‘Okay.’ I didn’t understand the magnitude of the situation. I saw some comments and I thought, ‘No, no.’ And a kind of uneasy feeling started to emerge.

“I thought: ‘My God! What happened?'”

Raygun admitted that he hasn’t rewatched his performance, while addressing the “harsh” backlash.

“I haven’t watched it again, no. It’s not unusual for me though. I’m not very good at rewatching my battles,” she shared.

“It’s still going to take some time. I think I’ve seen little bits and pieces, but yeah, I’ll see it one day.”

Amid claims that she might bag a number of television offers, Raygun said she does not wish to remain in the limelight and plans to take a step back from the competition.

“I don’t think I’ll be competing for a while. I don’t really want to be the center of attention, breaking, competing. But… You know, it’s been nice,” she shared.
