On The Kyle And Jackie O Show, Jackie said that her mother sent her a New Idea article that claimed she had stolen Ada Varados’ work on Honeymoon Island.

Jackie pressed on the rumors: “I honestly don’t even know if they have that story right, to be honest.”

Jackie explained that Ada had debuted a first look at the series at last year’s Seven ‘Upfronts’ event, which many thought indicated her involvement in the show.

But Jackie insisted she didn’t believe Ada, 47, had ever been promised that she would be the host or narrator of the series because of that.

Separately, the show’s narrator, Jackie, was forced to confront a report that she “stole” Ada Nicodemou’s work (pictured) after her own mother asked her about the rumours.

“Because she presented that, I mean, she’s a Seven personality, they assumed that then she would be the presenter on that show or narrate that show,” Jackie said.

“I don’t think they got the story right at all.”

Co-host Kyle Sandilands, 52, agreed with Jackie, adding that Ada “wasn’t even in the running for (the position).”

A source close to the situation suggested that the decision to bring Jackie on board could be driven by business strategy.

“It’s a good business idea for Seven to hire Jackie for Honeymoon Island,” the source explained.

‘Seven bosses probably know that shows like MAFS get a lot of airtime on KIIS airwaves and were smart to secure Kyle for Australian Idol where he was able to increase his share. Now they have Jackie to ensure that Honeymoon Island is a ratings success.
