Stormzy’s Madame Tussauds wax figure is so convincing his cousin thinks it’s real

Stormzy is blown away when he first meets his wax figure Madame Tussauds while his cousin – and mother – can’t tell the difference between the two in a hilarious video

He has 31 awards, two UK number one albums, a book publisher and a Cambridge University scholarship program to his credit.

So it’s only fitting that Stormzy has been immortalized by Madame Tussauds of London in the form of a wax figure.

In a video shared on the attraction’s Twitter page on Sunday, which also marks the rapper’s 28th birthday, Vossi Bop’s hitmaker brought his young nephew for the statue’s first-ever unveiling.

“That’s scary because,” Stormzy, who was wearing a casual white cardigan, can be heard saying the moment he came face to face with his doppelganger.

“Oh, my days,” he added before falling into hysterical fits of laughter.

“You never see yourself, that’s rahhh, that was crazy.”

At another point in the sweet clip, the Croydon-born rapper’s nephew pulled on the masterpiece’s clothes and said, “Uncle Junior isn’t moving. Is that Uncle Junior?’

“For me to be there, it feels like, crazy, I’m going out into the world.”

Tim Waters, managing director at Madame Tussauds London, said: ‘Whether you admire him for his music, believe in what he stands for, or just think he’s a really nice guy, we know his figure is a fantastic and important one. next to our Madame Tussauds London line-up.’

The artwork has yet to be unveiled to the public and we’re not honored with a photo either, so we’ll have to take Stormzy’s nephew’s word for it until it’s shown later this summer.
