A 12-week-old puppy has had an emotional reunion with his owners after he was stolen during a home burglary.

French bulldog Rogue was home alone at around 3:30pm on Tuesday when a person in a stolen vehicle broke into his Buston Place home in Redcliffe, in the eastern suburbs of Perth.

The person searched the rooms, before stealing jewelry and leaving with Rogue.

Information provided to police led them to an address in the southern suburb of St. James around 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, where they allegedly found the dog in the backyard and returned it to its owners.

WA Police video shows the emotional moment two officers return Rogue to her elated owners.

A 20-year-old Wanneroo woman has been charged on one count of receiving and has been released on bail to appear at Perth Magistrates Court on 17 April.

WA Police said their investigations are still ongoing and they expect more charges to follow.
