Steven Crowder’s divorce has taken a bitter turn as he demanded full custody of his one-year-old twins in a fiery courtroom face-off with his ex which saw them reference everything from sweet potatoes to Donald Trump.
The 35-year-old YouTuber attended a chaotic public hearing in Denton County, Texas, where his legal team clashed with the attorney of his former partner, stay-at-home mom Hilary Crowder, nee Korzon.
Crowder is demanding full access to his children despite once claiming that fathers are ‘largely useless’ – and according to his 36-year-old ex-wife he did not turn up at the hospital for their birth.
The courtroom got louder with Crowder as the conservative commentator’s four attorneys and the single lawyer representing Korzon spoke over each other throughout the two-and-a-half hour hearing on Thursday.
‘There was so much interrupting from both parties that the court reporter scolded the parties multiple times saying he was struggling capturing the testimony,’ a local journalist from Current Revolt who was in the courtroom said.

Conservative commentator Crowder previously revealed that he and Hilary decided not to have sex until they married in August 2012, as part of their Christian values
According to the Texas news site, Michigan-born former interior designer Hilary claimed her ex has rage problems and punches holes in walls – while Crowder hit back saying she was prone to ‘erratic behavior’.
He claimed that Hilary had not informed him that she had posted their home address on Twitter – which her attorney disputed, saying she has no social media presence.
As tensions grew in the courtroom, Crowder also accused Hilary’s family of leaking disturbing Ring doorbell footage of him verbally abusing her while she was eight months pregnant.
The footage showed Crowder banning her from using their car to go grocery shopping – because it would prevent him from going to the gym – and tells her to feed their dogs medicine despite fears it would be toxic for their unborn children.
Heavily pregnant Hilary snaps back at him saying ‘your abuse is sick’ but later backs down and repeatedly tells him she loves him as he continues laying into her while smoking a cigarette.
Current Revolt said Crowder’s legal team requested a private hearing to protect their children’s safety, but this was rejected by the Judge who said the public have the right to view proceedings.

In the doorbell footage, Crowder told Hilary she should ‘perform wifely duties’ as he asked her not to take their only car to go grocery shopping because he would be left stranded at home

She referenced how even the former president of the United States Donald Trump is currently in court ‘being tried in a very public fashion’ because America is a ‘free country’.
The Judge added that no threats had been made to the almost two-year-old twins – Magnus and Charlotte – and the worst that had happened was ‘a sweet potato was mailed to their house’.
She imposed a gagging order banning Crowder and Hilary from posting anything on social media, warning she would ‘hold them responsible’ for any case information released by them.
Hilary has also said Crowder was not even present for the birth of their children, and he had moved out of their shared home before they were born.
The YouTuber’s lawyers hit back, citing post-surgery ‘health issues’ preventing him from being present at the birth, along with Covid-19 rules at the time which limited the number of people allowed in hospital rooms.

Crowder made the divorce announcement in April during an episode of his podcast, Louder with Crowder
At the end of the hearing, the judge withheld her ruling on whether Crowder will be granted full custody to his kids to a later date.
During an April episode of his podcast, Louder with Crowder, he revealed his wife had filed for divorce in 2021 and claimed he had been ‘living with a proverbial boot on my neck for years’.
The Christian couple waited to have sex until they married on August 25 2012, after three months of engagement.
Crowder initially said that he and Hilary decided to keep the divorce private for the safety of their two children.
In similar scenes to the Crowder’s doorbell footage leak, disgraced Infowars boss Alex Jones was also caught on tape berating his ex-wife Kelly while she told him she forgave him and begged him to be nice to her.
The six-minute clip, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com last month, was recorded in November 2009.
