Known around the world as a man who would try anything to make people laugh, Steve-O has just dropped his latest stunt.

The Jackass and Wildboyz star was just hours away from going under the knife to get temporary breast implants for a hidden camera skit she had been planning for her upcoming The Super Dummy Tour, according to Variety.

The idea was that Steve-O (born Stephen Gilchrist Glover), 50, would pose as a woman and then trick groups of men on the street.

“I had surgery at ten o’clock,” said the man who was once caught in the mouth and used as shark bait in the Gulf of Mexico. “The operation was supposed to take place at eight in the morning.”

It turns out the anesthesiologist got cold feet when he found out it was a publicity stunt and backed out the night before.

He added: “That set off a chain reaction where the doctor no longer wanted to be associated with that and was having trouble finding another surgical center where he could make it possible.”

At the time, the comedian was still focused on going through with the stunt until the next day when he encountered a transgender person at the supermarket.

While shopping, she shared her grand plan to get breast implants to see if the employee was comfortable with her doing so.

One of his ideas was to have Steve-O get implants, shave his body hair, and then remove his tattoos so he could attend a motorcycle rally and flirt with men, only to take off his helmet and reveal that he is actually a man.

“I knew what my motivation was, I knew what my intention was and it wasn’t to hurt anybody,” Steve-O said. “I was just trying to get laughs.”

Although several trans people approached him to show their support for the stunt, the actor and TV personality admitted the reaction “would have been mixed.”

The grocery store employee opined that Steve-O was deliberately trying to trick people into thinking he was a woman and then tricking them into “kind of celebrating the idea of hate towards (trans people) — that was a (bad) thing.”

The employee went on to describe the situation trans people face when using the bathroom in the workplace, saying that “there are about 28 states in the country that would arrest them for having an ID that says they’re women. And there were politicians making concerted efforts to lock them up in internment camps. It was really heartbreaking the level of oppression that was described.”
