The 58-year-old actor, who shares Hailey, 27, with wife Kennya Baldwin, shared a video of himself smiling at the camera before saying, “I love you” and looking into the distance.
She captioned the video: ‘Today, staying positive is a choice! So I trust in the power of joy, peace, and happiness. Lastly, if someone hasn’t told you today, I LOVE YOU.’
Fans were quick to criticise the timing of the video’s release, with one writing: “Sadly your daughter doesn’t love you. You’re embarrassing her,” while another wrote: “Your daughter is ashamed of you.”
Others praised the star for spreading positivity, with one writing: “I needed this. Thanks mate!” and “Stephen that was so genuine and heartfelt… so I’m gonna send you some back and sprinkle some positivity on top.”

The couple’s first child is due in a matter of weeks.
