Stephanie Sparks, who hosted several seasons of Golf Channel’s ‘Big Break’, died last week at age 50.
Sparks was an All-American college golfer at Duke and hosted several shows on the Golf Channel.
His cause of death is unknown at this time and he was most recently living in Orlando.
Sparks also competed on the LPGA Tour and the US Curtis Cup before focusing solely on broadcasting.
Sparks was born in Wheeling, West Virginia and won several amateur golf titles before turning professional.

Sparks was a Golf Channel presenter, most notably on various versions of the reality show ‘Big Break’.
Back pain ultimately ended Sparks’ playing career.
“She had been a professional golfer,” Tom Abbott, Sparks’ co-host for seven years on the show ‘Big Break,’ told Golfweek.
‘So she knew what it was like for the contestants and wanted them to succeed. “She took advantage of her emotions in some way when we were doing the show,” Abbott continued.
According his obituarySparks spent the last years of his life advocating for palliative care.
In addition to ‘Big Break,’ Sparks hosted ‘Golf in Style’ and ‘Playing Lessons with the Pros,’ and also reported on professional golf events.
According to his obituary, a private family service will be held in Sparks’ honor.
“I will always be grateful for the friendships I made in junior golf,” broadcaster Lisa Cornwell said on X of Sparks. ‘Last week we lost one of our best @AJGAGolf teammates. God bless you, Sparky… and thank you for being you.’
