The veteran actress, 75, is reprising her role as Martha Fraser and will reunite with former love interest Ken Barlow, played by Bill Roache, 90.

‘Unfinished business’: Stephanie Beacham makes explosive return to Coronation Street, MailOnline can reveal
A soap insider told MailOnline: “Stephanie always felt like she had unfinished business with Martha and is delighted to be returning.
Her appearance in Weatherfield will cause a stir, especially for Ken, and fans can look forward to some gripping storylines.
“It’s been a while since she was last on the soap, but she certainly hasn’t been forgotten by many of the characters.”
Stephanie’s original stint on the Cobbles lasted only five months, but it sank into Corrie’s folklore.

Martha seduced Ken while living on a barge, having recently separated from her husband, believing Ken was a widower after telling her that his son Peter’s mother had died.
They bonded over a shared love of literature and after falling for each other, they eventually kissed.
Riddled with guilt, Ken opened up about his marriage to Deirdre, leading to Martha’s decision to end their affair.
But the pair still couldn’t resist each other, eventually sleeping together and planning to leave Weatherfield before Ken hesitated and stayed with Deirdre.
‘Must be another offer coming up’: The former Dynasty actress, pictured with co-star Joan Collins, hinted she would return to the soap if the right opportunity presented itself
Former Dynasty and Bad Girls star Stephanie shared last July that she was interested in returning to the soap someday.
Speaking to The Express, she said, “Maybe when there’s another offer.”
Stephanie made a surprise appearance at the British Soap Awards last Saturday, giving Emmerdale the Best Soap gong.
She is best known for her role as Sable Colby in the American soap opera Dynasty, the wealthy nemesis of Alexis Carrington, played by fellow British star Joan Collins.
The series was one of the biggest shows of the 1980s, with 60 million viewers at its peak.

Stephanie played Sable between 1985-1989 and recently spoke of a possible reprise of the character in the new Netflix reboot, alongside Joan.
She said, ‘Joan Collins and I think it would be really good for us to come back.
“Joan and I are still fantastic – so why don’t we do it? But I don’t think I’d be a suitable grandmother for the Colbys right now, from what I hear.”
Netflix launched the reboot in 2017 with an all-new cast, but still focused on the Colby and Carrington families as they argue over control of their fortunes and their children.
The divorced mother of two is in a long-term relationship with fiancé Dr. Bernie Greenwood and lives in both the US and UK.
She was born partially deaf and battled skin cancer in 2009 and 2011, when it resurfaced. Both times, the fatal condition was noticed by her fiancé.
Speaking in February, Stephanie admitted it’s unlikely Bernie will ever make it down the aisle because she “don’t care.”
She told The Mirror: “I can’t be bothered to put on a pair of high heels to get married.
Bernie often says, ‘Why aren’t we married? Why did you say we could get engaged?’
And I say, ‘Because I love you dearly, I don’t know anything about getting married. It was romantic to be asked.’
“But we still can — these two very old folks with canes can suddenly decide to walk down the aisle. We’ve been together for 14 years, isn’t that a beautiful, long marriage?’
