Steph hilariously goads Ant into challenging U.S. table tennis team

Steph hilariously incites Ant to challenge the US table tennis team. Originally appeared in NBC Bay Area Sports

Steph Curry is having a great time at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

The Warriors superstar can shoot three-pointers, explore Paris and Mingle with your fellow NBA stars and great athletes from around the world.

But perhaps the most fun for Curry is playing with his U.S. teammate. Antonio EdwardsThe Splash Brother trolled the Minnesota Timberwolves star by instigating a feud between Edwards and the U.S. table tennis team.

“Ant,” Curry shouted in a video shared by Team USA. “Ant, they said they could beat you 21 (to) nothing.”

“What, ping pong?” Edwards replied.

Curry was talking about the blow Edwards received while playing table tennis for the U.S. women’s team.

“They’re the ones that are there,” Curry added.

“There are people who are talking about me being beaten in ping pong, 21-0,” Edwards, who was initially being interviewed by another person, admitted to the camera. “I don’t believe it, I don’t believe it. I don’t believe it. I’m not going to accept it. 21-0? I’m going to score a point.”

Edwards is as confident an athlete as anyone, but even he practically admitted he would be beaten fairly easily: you can’t say you can score once in a game that goes over a point to win.

The table tennis team followed Curry’s lead and proposed the inevitable to Edwards.

“I mean there’s only one way to prove it: a match.”

Although the match has not yet been played, Edwards stressed that he will go all out.

“How?” Edwards said of the organization of the game. “Where are we going to do it? (I’m ready) whenever.”

Table tennis plus Edwards will likely result in a hilarious sum that sports fans around the world will love to watch.

But that will have to wait, as the U.S. basketball team will face Serbia for real on Sunday in the two teams’ game. First serious battle of Group C.
