Unique home with 360-degree panoramic ocean and mountain views to sell for $12 million

A unique home with 360-degree panoramic views of the ocean and mountains amazes thousands with its spectacular design and “quiet luxury” style.

This stunning five-bedroom home, affectionately named ‘Amar’, is located in the Noosa hinterland of Queensland, next to Cooroy Mountain and is on the market for a staggering $12 million.

Located minutes from the vibrant town of Noosa, the “perfect” location boasts the ideal blend of seclusion and community living.

Jared Clout, son of renowned and award-winning designer Paul Clout, told FEMAIL he had been interested in the site for nearly eight years before finally purchasing the land in 2019.

“When I first conceptualized the idea for the house, I wanted it to be an observation deck because it has that whole panorama where you can have a panoramic view from the ocean to the west, towards the mountains,” he said.

‘I wanted to make the main level of the house a large, unobstructed viewing platform.’

Mr. Clout wanted to keep the design “simple but tasteful” and let the view do the talking.

Mr. Clout chose to highlight perfectly framed views, clean lines and open spaces when designing Amar – a choice that keeps you completely connected to the surroundings.

Amar has five spacious rooms, all with private bathrooms, decorated with natural stone and wood details.

“We’ve equipped the house with every amenity one could dream of: wine cellar, whiskey room, sauna, gym,” Clout said.

An infinity pool overlooks Cooroy Mountain and the Noosa coastline, giving you the illusion of floating above the mountaintop.

The living room has been described as a “sanctuary of comfort” due to its cozy gas fireplace and warm tones.

Large sliding doors offer uninterrupted views of the magnificent scene, making you feel as if you are one with nature.

The wine cellar is also right next to the whiskey room, which is clad in cedar from wall to ceiling and infuses the area with a subtle earthy aroma.

Amar also has a garage for three cars, a cinema room and a private elevator.

“I’ve really wanted to build a house on this land for so long that it’s amazing that it’s finally finished,” Clout said.

Mr. Clout shared that he was inspired by South American architectural styles and wanted to emulate the beautiful buildings in Brazil.

“The thin lines and large floating slabs with large overhangs are a bit like what you find in Brazilian architecture,” he said.

“It’s a warm interpretation of that style: we used wine-washed walls and microcements to reflect it.”

The architect shared that he felt “lucky” to be able to participate in the development of Amar, but he already has his sights set on a different project for the future.
