It looks like Love Island’s Gemma Owen won’t be the only contestant linked to a football legend when the final bombshell arrives on Tuesday night’s episode.
Jay Younger, 28, is about to ruffle feathers when he arrives at the villa alongside Remi Lambert, 22, on the latest episode of the ITV2 dating show.
Gemma’s father Michael Owen will no longer be the only connection to the game of football in the famous Mallorca hometown, as Jay’s grandfather is former Liverpool player Tommy Younger.

The investment analyst enthused: ‘He was in the Hall of Fame for Liverpool and he was in the Hall of Fame for Hibernian FC.
Born in Edinburgh, Tommy signed for the club in his hometown of Hibernian in 1948 before moving to Liverpool in 1956.
He also played for Stoke City, Rhyl and Toronto City before concluding his playing career with Leeds United.

In terms of his international career, the sportsman has been crowned 24 times by Scotland, in an unbroken run of three years.
After retiring from the wonderful game, he stayed with Leeds as a scout before becoming Canada coach at Toronto City.
Tommy became Vice President of the Scottish Football Association in May 1983 and held the position until his death eight months later in January 1984 at the age of 53.
Before arriving at the villa, Jay was asked, “Why do you think you’re a catch?” to which he replied, ‘I think I really have what most women want.
“I have a good job, I think I’m a good looking guy and I’m having a lot of fun, so I feel like I can add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine.
“I think I’m at the point in my life where it would be really nice to find someone and have fun along the way. And it would be a great opportunity to do it in Mallorca and at the Villa, so why not?’
