State of Origin: Chris Minns trolls his Liberal predecessors

Date:

NSW Premier Chris Minns trolls Liberal predecessors Gladys Berejiklian and Dom Perrottet by copying their widely mocked Origin hype photos – but there’s a difference

Chris Minns has hilariously recreated a photo of his predecessors Gladys Berejiklian and Dom Perrettot as NSW and Queensland hold their breath for this year’s State of Origin.

The New South Wales premier followed the Blues ahead of their Origin opener at Adelaide Oval with his back to the camera while draped in a team scarf and cap.

But there was a key difference – it also held a can of Coke, while its predecessors held reduced-fat versions of the soft drink.

Former state official Ms Berejiklian was widely mocked for posting the ‘memorable’ photo in 2021 with the caption: ‘Getting ready for game 1. Go NSW Blues!

Mr. Perrettot copied the famous image before last year’s series and now Mr. Minns has kept up the tradition that is expected to last a long time.

“Getting ready for Game 1,” he posted. ‘Go NSW Blues!’

He also replied to his original tweet: “You know I had to.”

More soon.
