There are at least 33 million Americans using the app, but the number of affected users is not known.

Social media was flooded with posts about problems with the app as people panicked.

“The Starbucks app is down and corporate America is SHAKING,” shared one X user.

Other users were even more disappointed because it was their birthday and they were looking forward to their free drink.

“It’s my birthday and the Starbucks app isn’t working. It seems like some kind of horrible conspiracy,” shared user X “Maureen Van Nest.”
