Stanley Tucci says he would be “happy” to return to his role as Nigel Kipling in a Devil Wears Prada sequel.

“If it happens, all I can say is I’ll be happy,” he said of the rumored sequel to the hit 2006 film, also starring Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and sister-in-law Emily Blunt.

The sequel’s story will follow Streep’s Miranda Priestley and her career in the present day, as traditional magazine publishing is in decline and she must find her place in an increasingly digital industry and world.

Streep, Blunt and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, who adapted the original 2006 film from Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name, are said to be all on board for the sequel, according to Variety.

Tucci was asked if reuniting with his fellow cast members from the film would be “fun.”

“I don’t think fun is the word,” he admitted, adding, “I think we would have one of the best times in our history.”

“I’ve done a lot of movies, I’ve probably done close to 100 movies, and I don’t even know how many television episodes, but that experience was one of the best I’ve ever had,” Tucci continued.

“It was just this perfect combination of people, from (director) David (Frankel) to Meryl, Annie and Emily, who is now my sister-in-law,” she gushed. “It’s just great.”

None of the reports have mentioned whether Anne Hathaway would return as Andrea ‘Andy’ Sachs, or whether other cast members such as Simon Baker, Adrian Grenier, Gisele Bundchen and Tracie Thoms would return.

But before a possible sequel begins, Tucci has a new book to promote, What I Ate in a Year: (and Related Thoughts).

Tucci spoke to People about how he started his latest book, saying, “I didn’t know what to write.”

“The publishers wanted me to write something, but after I wrote the first book, I thought, ‘I don’t know what to write,’ and my wife, who is a literary agent, said, ‘Just write what you eat in a year,’ and so I did.” I did.’
