Stacey Solomon has turned social media into a frenzy after a video of her Royal Family lectures on loose women resurfaced in 2018 and went viral.

In the clip, which was re-shared by a fan on TikTok, the presenter got into a debate with her co-hosts Jane Moore, Linda Robson and Christine Lampard over the UK’s fixation with the Royals.

‘I don’t get why we’re so obsessed with these people being exactly the same,’ asked the panelist, 31, frustrated after further discussions about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

She explained, “I probably won’t be the opinion of anyone else in the whole world, but I just don’t get it [the Royal Family]. I do not understand. ‘

She gestured to the rest of the Loose Women panel and continued, “We could be the four of us sitting there.”

Jane then agreed, “They become celebrities for me.” To which Stacey quickly replied, “That’s all they are.”

“The queen is brilliant,” defended Jane. “But for what?” Stacey asked. “For duty, responsibility,” said the journalist.

“She’s always worked really hard,” added Linda.

“But I would work really hard if the whole country paid to have 12 houses and work really hard,” Stacey retorted.

“They don’t pay for all houses,” said Jane. ‘We contribute about £ 39 million a year. It costs £ 300 million a year to run the royal family.

‘But I’m with you. After the queen, I would have them all by bike and live in a terraced house. But I love the queen, I think she’s fantastic, ”she added.

Stacey went on to highlight how the money spent on the royal family could be repurposed for more philanthropic purposes, such as homelessness.

She said, ‘It’s freezing outside and people are homeless and these people [the Royals] have like houses left.

“It gets a little frustrating at times because I don’t see all that money going to this one family.”

The former X-factor participant then received a hearty round of applause from the audience for her passionate speech.

After the clip was re-shared on Friday, many fans praised Stacey Solomon for her ‘passionate’ statement.

One wrote: “Every day I fall a little more in love with Stacey Solomon. The way she says how unnecessary the Royal Family is is unbelievably brave! Besides, she’s absolutely right, ‘wrote one user.

“Stacey Solomon is going to lead the revolution and I’ll be after her,” added another.

A third posted: “Ngl didn’t expect Stacey Solomon to make a solid and passionate criticism of the monarchy – but I’m for it anyway.”

One added, “I just need a lie to come to terms with the fact that Stacey Solomon and Jedward are the most progressive thinkers in modern Britain today.”

One of them also wrote, “Think what you want about Stacey Solomon, but what she said about the Royaly Family is absolutely correct. We don’t need a monarchy anymore, never did. ‘

While some took offense at her argument, they wrote, ‘The Royals do a lot for a good cause, so spitting on homeless people and spare houses doesn’t mean the Royal family doesn’t have a’ point. They were here way before “celebrities” and all of that culture. ‘

It comes after Stacey had her own drama when her husband-to-be, Joe Swash, accidentally revealed the date of their wedding on Loose Women on Wednesday.

Stacey said to him, ‘You wouldn’t know the date even if you could say’. To which Joe said, “The date is the last Sunday in July.”

Furious, Stacey said, ‘Oh my god, why did I bring you here? Fantastic. Good stuff.’

The couple have been busy planning their wedding, which will take place at their new £ 1.2million home, Pickle Cottage, after Joe made a marriage proposal on Christmas Eve.

Speaking of their ceremony earlier this week, Stacey recalled OK! Magazine: ‘At this rate it will be just me, Joe, my family and the rabbi in the garden. No food, no disco, nothing. So I did not arrange my wedding and I did not arrange this house. ‘
