Even in St. Louis, where locals currently hate the Rams, fans still have a sore spot regarding the persistent perception that New England’s victory in Super Bowl XXXVI was tainted by chicanery.
And so, when Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returned to St. Louis on Sunday to present the UFL Championship Most Valuable Player award to Birmingham Stallions quarterback Adrian Martinez, fans of St. Louis responded.
Here is a videoof X. (Perhaps You can edit the boos to broadcast them again..)
Before presenting the MVP trophy, Brady made a second-quarter appearance in the Fox broadcast booth. Before the game, Brady was chatting on the field with former Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, who said in the past that there is a “splinter of doubt” as to whether the Patriots were up to something regarding what would have been St. Louis’ second championship in three seasons.
Brady better get used to being booed. His Patriots ran roughshod over the league for years. There is still a lot of resentment.
And when Brady goes to Buffalo, they might have more than boos ready for him.
