Officers were called to a car park at Gray and Belgrave streets, at St George’s Hospital in Kogarah, around 9:30 am after reports of a threat.

Roads surrounding the area were closed while police searched the area, but no suspicious items were found, a NSW Police spokesman said.

A police operation has unfolded at St George’s Hospital in south-east Sydney.

The operation was still active shortly after 1:00 p.m., but the area was declared safe and the roads reopened shortly after 2:00 p.m.
