Spotify’s library redesign makes it easier to find your downloaded content

Spotify tries again to make the Your Library tab easier to navigate. Her to introduce dynamic filters, a new grid view, the ability to pin content, and various sorting options. The changes will come to all users on iOS and Android in the coming week. The filters are probably the most useful change, allowing users to filter between album, artist, playlist or podcast. Premium users can also choose to only watch downloaded content, which has been difficult to find in Spotify until now without browsing through every artist and album they have saved.

Users can also choose to pin four playlists, albums or podcast shows that appear at the top of their content. To lock, swipe right on what you want to keep at the top. Finally, users can view content in a grid view or in a list by alphabetical order of the content, recently played or the names of the creators.

The changes aren’t exactly monumental, but that downloaded content filter will likely be especially useful. I know I’ve spent way too long trying to find something to save when I fly so hopefully this will solve that problem. Spotify last updated your library in 2019, but only for Premium users. This upcoming update will make the experience easier for everyone, which is much appreciated.
