Martha Stewart, 81, flaunted her stunning figure on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2023 – making her the oldest woman to ever appear on the cover of the magazine.
The publication revealed its four cover stars this morning, including Martha, as well as Megan Fox, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader.
The businesswoman – who called it “historic” to pose for the magazine at her age – showed off her incredible physique throughout filming, donning 10 different swimsuits that left her body on full display.
One photo showed her standing in a red one-piece with a plunging neckline, while another showed the 81-year-old smiling towards the camera in a white swimsuit and orange shawl.

Another photo showed Martha lying on the beach in a beige ruffled swimsuit with an oversized straw hat, while a fourth featured the TV personality in the water while wearing a silver swimsuit with zipper and huge white sunglasses.
She was photographed by Ruven Afanador in the Punta Cana region of the Dominican Republic.
Reflecting on the experience, Martha explained that she “don’t think much about age”, but admitted that being part of the magazine at 81 was definitely a big deal for her.
“When I heard I was going to do the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s pretty good, I’m going to be the oldest person I ever think of on a Sports Illustrated cover. Illustrated,” she said.
“And I don’t think much about age, but I thought it was a bit historic.”
“Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or success, but what people do, how people think, how people act is what is important and not your age”, she added.
Martha also opened up about filming the Today show cover this morning, explaining that while it was a “challenge” for her, she felt like she had “risen up to the challenge”.
“To me, it’s a testament to living well,” she continued. “I think we should all be thinking about living well, living successfully, not getting old. This whole aging thing is so boring.

Martha also talked about the work she did to make sure she looked her best in the months leading up to filming.
“I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat bread or pasta for a few months. I went to Pilates every other day,” she explained.

Martha opened up about filming the Today show cover this morning, explaining that while it was a ‘challenge’ for her, she felt like she had ‘risen up to the challenge’.
“I live a clean life anyway. Good diet and good exercise and healthy skincare and all that, but it was kind of fun.
She said it was “weird” posing in a bathing suit in front of “all these people,” but joked, “It turned out great.”
She added that she hoped people would feel “inspired” by seeing her on the cover.
Other SI Swimsuit cover stars for 2023 include actress Megan, 36, Grammy-winning transgender singer Kim, 30, and model Brooks, 26.
‘There is no theme [to this year’s issue] — rather, there is a vision, a feeling, a hope that women can live in a world where they feel no limits, internal or external,’ SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day said in a statement.
“But the absence of a theme does not mean that [these women] do not share certain common traits. They are constantly evolving.

“To me, it’s a testament to good living,” she said. “I think we should all be thinking about living well, living successfully, not getting old. The whole aging thing is so boring’

She said it was “strange” to pose in a bathing suit in front of “all these people”, but joked: “It turned out well”.

She added that she hoped people would feel ‘inspired’ seeing her on the cover

Regarding why she chose the four cover stars, MJ said: ‘[Megan] embrace her stunning beauty while seeking to be seen and appreciated as a woman of intellect and inner beauty”

She added: ‘Grammy-winning pop star Kim (seen with Sam Smith) is an inspiration to the LGBTQ+ community and has charted her own path to superstardom’
When it came to why she chose the four cover stars, MJ exclaimed, “Never in her life did she [Martha] let his circumstances dictate his outcome.
“She changed over time – always one step ahead, it seems – to build a massive business empire.
‘Grammy-winning pop star [Kim] is an inspiration to the LGBTQ+ community and charted her own path to stardom – but it’s been anything but a straight line.
‘[Megan] humbly accepts her stunning beauty while simultaneously seeking to be seen and appreciated as the woman of intellect and inner beauty.
‘[Brooks’] the heart and bustle not only landed her on the cover, but also positioned the 26-year-old for success in the business world.

Along with the four cover stars, the issue will celebrate 24 other “incredible” women.
