Minnesota Twins fans could be forgiven for their frustration during a rain delay on Monday night, but it provided a very memorable moment for those who watched it.
As a storm rolled through town, leaving fans sheltered from the elements, one brave photographer stepped out and captured some magic.
In a photograph that some are now calling “the greatest of all time,” the Minnesota night sky can be seen with a rainbow streaking across it and lightning bolts crisscrossing it.
“That can’t be real,” one fan wrote, while another added: “This is unbelievable bro.”
“This has to be one of the best MLB photos of all time,” noted one baseball observer, and another said, “I’m not kidding when I say this might be one of the best photographs ever taken.”

The image was shared by the Minnesota Twins’ official X account, and quickly garnered thousands of likes and retweets as fans couldn’t believe their eyes.
Some were quick to point out that the team may have wanted to divert attention from the fact that they were trailing 9-1 to the Atlanta Braves at the time of the delay.
So far this season, the Twins are 72-58 and look well positioned for a playoff spot.
However, the team is coming off two consecutive losses in series against the Cardinals and the Padres.
