A cute Father’s Day gift has been recalled amid fears it could cause both “burns and lacerations” if used.
Splosh Australia cups, sold internationally and online, were found to be able to crack and break when filled with hot liquids.
Breakage could result in severe burns from hot liquids and lacerations from sharp edges.
The black “Super Dad” and blue “My favorite child gave me this mug” have been recalled by Product Safety Australia (PSA).

Splosh Australia cups, sold internationally and online, were found to be able to crack and break when filled with hot liquids.
“There is a risk of injury from burns and lacerations from sharp edges if the cups break during use,” PSA said in a statement.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the affected cups.”
The cups were sold at nearly 400 independent retailers across the country, including select Terry White Chemmart and Nextra stores.
Both items were available for purchase between June 25 and September 8 of this year.
PSA urged consumers who purchased the cups to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
