It comes just weeks after Splendor co-founders Paul Piticco and Jess Ducrou issued another apology for the disastrous conditions of the event in 2022.
“What a weekend Splendor in the Grass 2022 was, without a doubt the most challenging and difficult year ever and not what any of us wanted,” they said.
“While we cannot control the weather, we can manage how we respond and for that, we are deeply sorry.”

They continued: ‘In addition to the condition of the grounds and its accessibility, we recognize that the impacts extended to traffic failures on Thursday which severely affected not only you but the local community, as well as two of the bus routes on Saturday night which resulted in unacceptable wait times.’
Piticco and Ducrou went on to provide a list of improvements they had made to ensure this year’s festival ran smoothly.
Some improvements include weatherproofing upgrades, improved drainage, more roads, and a revision to its Traffic Management Plan, among other things.

Last year was the first Splendor in the Grass in three years, but it was marred by disastrous weather, poor planning, many cancellations and allegations of sponsor incompetence.
Up to 50,000 revelers turned out for the beloved Byron Bay festival last July, despite torrential rains turning the lush parklands into a quagmire.
The opening day was canceled after heavy rains forced organizers to close the camps as large parts were submerged.
Partygoers were left waiting for up to 18 hours, with some sleeping in their cars, only to turn around, and things didn’t improve from there.
